Race to Robie Creek Sell-Out

The Race to Robie Creek in Idaho has an interesting twist on handling their sell-out race – a low cost drawing.

The race cap of 2,100 participants was filled in the first 10 minutes. For those who do not get into this unique, mountainous Half Marathon, there is a $5.00 drawing they leave open for 5 days. They then randomly pick 200 lucky participants who get into the race (with no additional cost!). This solves the issue of people who did not get into the race, but also keeps the fun (and viral word of mouth) of a quick sell-out.
