Sample Pre-Race Email

Race Directors are starting to use our new Email System with some great results. Below is an email that was sent using the new capability of the integrated data to send customized information to each runner. And runners and race directors love it, as you can see in the exchange on the right.

We are including the nearly full text of the email since it might spark ideas of how your race can communicate more effectively. We have italicized the fields that came from the RunSignUp database.

Step #1 Go to www.runsignup.com and sign in (if someone signed you up for the race, you will have to contact them and sign in under their email)

Step #2 Go to PROFILE and then MY REGISTERED RACES

Step #3 Click View/Edit Registration under the 2015 Race that you registered for

Step #4 Look over your information

  • to change your estimated finish time – go to  QUESTIONS and update your time
  • to change your T-shirt size – go to GIVEAWAY and update your size.
  • to change your college team that will go on your bib – go to QUESTIONS and type in your team how you  want it displayed

COURSE VIDEO – Please watch the new 3D Course video to get a really good visual of what the course is.  Our course is unique in that there are certain areas that repeat, it is your responsibility to know the course.  The course video is very clear and color coordinates with all the course maps.

For any questions about the course or race weekend, you can attend our Live information sessions with me on Friday March 20th at 6:30pm, Saturday March 21 at 12:00pm or Saturday March 21 at 3:00pm.  All sessions will be in the Expo Tent at Mayfaire Town Center Event Field.

Good luck with your training.  Remember, at this  point you have done the work.  You just need to get to the start line healthy.  If you have any pains that are boarderline injuries – take a few extra days off.  It is not going to affect your fitness.  It takes 2 weeks of doing absolutely NOTHING to even begin losing fitness!  I wish you the best.
